Feeling that I needed to branch out from RemOil, I decided to order a selection of Mil-Com and BreakFree CLP. Brownells was the only one who carried both and I looked at Amazon, Cabelas, and Midway USA.
So anyway, I placed my order and received my confirmation at 1:44 PM then at 2:44 PM I received a shipment notification complete with tracking numbers.
Like I said I have been wanting to try other oils other than what I was using (RemOil). After asking around I figured Breakfree CLP and Mil-Com were the best bets. I ordered:
TW25B Synthetic Grease .5 Oz Syringe
TW25B Weapons Grease 1.5 Oz Tube
As soon as I get a chance to get these slathered all over my guns and then push out some rounds, I will let you all know how they do. I as really interested to see how they do in my 10/22. Being a .22 it collects a lot of crap.
Shipping speed it not everything, I am a huge fan of Comp-Tac and you have to wait at least 7 days for production.
Break Free 4OZ. Bottle
Break Free, 4OZ. Aerosol
MC2500 OIL .4 FL OZ Syringe

I’ve never been a big CLP fan, don’t know why, but when our crew tests the M16 mags we make for Uncle Sam, CLP’s the only thing they’ve found that keeps our govt issued M4s and M16s running. Burst and full auto fire for 6 to 7 mags per gun, as fast as you can go. You might go get some Mobil 1 and/or Valvoline Synthetic Motor Oil. Lots of the forums tout them as being great on guns and a few gunsmiths recommend them for the guns they build.
CLP is definitely a military thing. Seems like every time I talk to an ex-military guy about lube they always say CLP.
Interesting you mention motor oil. Last weekend I was talking with the RSOs at the range I go to about lube. They said they have seen more than one locked up 1911 after the owner tried motor oil.
Probably just depends on the gun. I could see motor oil being good for really high volume and thus high temp shooting.
