If you read this blog with any frequency you will know that I joined Search and Rescue. Well, today I got to go on my first search! I had SOOOOOOO much fun. I had a total blast. Seriously, if you love the outdoor, playing in the woods, or hide and seek (I guess) you really need to come out. It sounds weird but I am really looking forward to someone getting lost in my county.

Good on you that you had such a motivating experience and that your gear (especially the cheap ass gardening gloves) all worked well. Camaraderie in learning from and working with pros Now the question remains, did y’all have a successful mission?
Whoops, forgot to add that all sorts of people in my life have been involved with emergency services and SAR on a volunteer and professional basis. Lots of folks don’t want to put in the time, expense and preparation. I hear more about them, so it’s a treat to read this and know your wife is behind you doing this too.
Thanks for the comments.
I feel like I should add, for sar being such a close community the people are very welcoming.
