BSN Nitrix

So this is the part where people start asking where I am going with this blog. In other posts you talk about outdoor gear, now supplements? Strange I know, but time that I don’t spend adventuring or geeking out is spent in the gym. Now after that huge digression… BSN Nitrix.

BSN Nitrix, 360 Tablets

Nitrix is the first “N.O.” product that I tried (although the N.O. is just part of Nitrix). The basic idea of N.O. is to dilate you blood vessels so you perform better in the gym. It does this with huge doses of amino acids. Is this safe? Well I asked my Dr. and he was not that concerned. Like vitamins what you don’t use you excrete. Nitrix also contains creatine and ton of B vitamins. All of this goes together to get you huge pumps.

Does it work?

Yes… but it requires you take three of the pills three times a day. Major pain in the ass. It also, while keeping you reved up for the day, does not really add extra motivation in the gym.

Pros:

  • Big Pumps
  • All day energy from the B vitamins

Cons:

  • Administrative time (seriously). You need to time your food and water intake with the pills.

Conclusion:

Use BSN NO-Xplode instead. Its easier and it rocks like no other pre-workout drink on the planet. With NO-Xplode you will be smashing weights in no time (can you tell I like it)

Buying Advice:

I dread even writing “supplements” on my site because it opens up a world of sleeze and snake oil. The best advice is to choose your friends wisely. I don’t like the nutrition chain stores because I find them to be overpriced and their advice is generally poor. This is kinda like getting coffee advice at Starbucks. It will be ok sometimes but overall questionable.

Until you know what you are doing and what you are looking for I would advise finding a local muscle shop where you can trust the guys behind the counter. Just remember that everyone’s body is different so advice should be taken as just that.

As for finding the cheapest price, generally online is best. I have had really good luck with Bodybuilding.com. They have good support and customer service. Plus the fastest shipping times I have ever experienced online.
