Looks like Sig is getting sued over the Sig 516. Not the bad kind were your rifle is likely to blow up but the kind I don’t really care about (patent).

Seems like companies are going a little crazy with the lawsuits. I naively wish they would knock that crap off and spend the money in R&D.

Having traveled outside the US, I am often amazed at the level of sanitation applied to war coverage. In Australia and UK it is not uncommon to see the violence taking place and the aftermath. It is as if US news does not wish to present an actual picture of the nature of war. I think we do a disservice to the nation by shielding people from the violence and hardship our military endures.

So I have obviously not posted in a while. Largely due to excessive work and then wanting to spend every non-working moment offline. So anyway I am back.

I am testing out blogging from my iPad. If this works out hopefully i an make more frequent updates. Should have some good stuff coming soon. I just purchased a Sig 516 and put 200 rounds though it. Also have some cool SAR and 10/22 stuff I have been meaning to post about.

I have to admit that I have been uber busy the last three months or so with work. Consequently keeping tabs on the president has not been high on my list. So maybe someone can help me out here?

What have all of you got against Obama?*

*I want to hear from rational people not delusional birthers. Also I want to hear about things he has done while in office.

I am just trying to figure out what all the ire its about. Near as I can tell its more or less the same as the Bush hate, by which I mean people just hate on the other team. And since I brought up Bush, it also seems to me that with the exception of healthcare Obama is not that different.

So I have been more than a little slow about posting here. Generally my post cover my hobbies and lately, when I have not been working, I have actually doing my hobbies not blogging about them.

Anyway I have several posts in the pipeline. Some of them may take more time to do than other.

• Working with Kydex: I ordered a bunch. I am hoping to learn to make my own holsters.
• More 10/11 work: I have been trying to smooth out the action. Also I have been trying to reduce the misfire rate. I have sanded out the interior of the receiver and I am replacing the bolt/spring assembly, firing pin and recoil buffer.
• Various reviews of the Apple Magic Trackpad, Gerber LMFII knife and other SAR and Tech related kit and gadgets

Anyway, stay tuned. Hopefully I will have new show-and-tell soon.

Sadly I own an xbox.

I find that cowbell and LCD are interchangeable. My 350z already has one LCD for the navigation system, but its needs more. So I will be installing a Pioneer 7 inch touchscreen head unit. This will get me Bluetooth, better sound quality and … more cowbell.

After I have finished the install I will post the details and results.
