Surefire Standard Lamp vs LED / Aluminum vs Nitrolon

September 29th, 2009

I have now purchased three Surefire flashlights. First I purchased a Surefire 6P LED for myself, mostly to see what all the hype was about. Because my wife kept stealing my 6P, I bought her a Surefire G2 LED. Then last week for my buddies birthday I got him a Surefire G2 Nitrolon.

While I am to some extent spreading the Surefire love, there is also a method to my madness. Basically buying Surefire’s for my friends gives me a great excuse to play with them myself.

More Women Hunt – NPR

September 29th, 2009

I know what attracts my wife to hunting is not what attracts me. She is much more into the self-sufficiency aspects, while I like the challenge plus the culinary possibilities that you can’t get in the supermarket.

Comp-tac: the happiest company in the world?

September 14th, 2009

To say that I am impressed with Comp-tac’s customer service would be an understatment. I experiences great online sales, my holster contained a pack of smarties and the shipping invoice had a hand written thankyou!

Working in the online space myself I know that nearly always the human connection is lost.

Oh and the product is great too. But I will write about that later.

Photos after the jump.
